Using your web browser, connect to the router's administration port by entering the router's IP address (196.168.1.1). Select Advanced then System Settings and set the Wireless Broadband Router's Hostname. Since the default is Wireless_Broadband_Router, you may want to make it something shorter, such as router. Set the Local Domain also. If you have your own domain name for your "global" network, you can use a subdomain such as FleetStreet.ExampleOnly.com for the local network, as recommended in Naming the Network and the Nodes on the Network.
Using your web browser, connect to the router's administration port by entering the router's IP address (196.168.1.1). Select Advanced then System Settings and set the Outgoing Mail Server settings:

It could be the same as the host name of the router, with the period between the
subdomain and the second level domain changed to an @, for example:
router.FleetStreet@ExampleOnly.com
Back at the Main screen of the router's administration service, select Quick Links then Change Login User Name / Password. Under E-Mail Notification, enter the address where the notifications are to be sent in the Notification Address field and select the desired notification levels.
